Sarah and Jess sit down for a very important, very impactful, very inspiring chat around the table with the Executive Director of Fertility Matters Canada, IVF warrior, and Mom of 3, Carolynn Dubé and Entrepreneur, IVF warrior, and Mom of 2, Danielle Patterson, both passionate advocates for those on their own fertility journeys. Carolynn and Danielle know the importance of sharing and connecting in ways that feel right to you, and have not stopped working behind the scenes so others feel supported and recognized. This is a story of hope, will, and connection for a more supportive future; a unique but not uncommon story intertwining people, policy, procedures and Prague. Danielle and Carolynn know firsthand the importance of having conversations to help normalize these experiences, we dive IN(to)fertility, the rollercoaster of emotions, the commitment, sacrifices, and determination experienced by couples, advocates, and professionals alike. During this two hour conversation, Danielle and Carolynn get vulnerable and raw about their own fertility journeys, pregnancy losses, navigating relationships, and the emotional, physical and financial stress along the way. They educate us on types of and access to procedures, resources in Atlantic Canada, the importance and need for equitable and inclusive benefits and policy changes provincially and federally, and how we can talk, show up, and support our loved ones walking a similar path. This conversation is an honest, emotional, and raw look inside the world of fertility in Canada and beyond. Please do what you need to to protect your heart if you currently find yourself at any point of your own fertility journey. We hope this conversation is hopeful, helpful, and informative. If you aren't ready to listen to it yet, we understand. When you are - we will be here! Your Fertility (benefits, access, rights, support, journey) Matters!
