Hi, I’m Pascale Gibon. Welcome to episode 255 of the Everyday Life Balance Show. Thank you for tuning in.

I am just about to end 35 days of vacation in the Caribbean. I thought I would do some work, but, of course, I didn’t. I realise that taking some time off means unwinding completely. Travelling from the Uk to Guadeloupe, I took three weeks to sit back and rest completely.

Perhaps you have planned some time away. I invite you to really unwind, rest and relax to make the most of it.

The hot topic of this week’s episode is responsibility. I believe that whenever you feel that life is happening to you and feel disempowered, you need to get the responsibility hat out. What do I mean by that? As you know, responsibility is our ability to respond. Therefore, how we respond to life, to our life’s challenges and conflicts with others will eventually bring either disharmony or peace. You may have a conflictual relationship with a family member. The way you may respond is to remain resentful for the rest of your life. That is not a way of life that brings peace. The most impactful way to respond to the situation is to bring peace to your mind and grow in love.

We all have our own character and different perspectives on life which lead to unavoidable conflicts or dissatisfaction. One of my mentors, Bob Proctor, used to say that if you find yourself surrounded by negative people, do not spend too much time in their energy.

My purpose is to raise your awareness of this new perspective of taking responsibility for your life and results so that you enjoy more peace of mind.

Your peace of mind will depend upon your ability to respond to whatever happens to you in life.

Since your vibrational frequency through your thoughts creates your reality, I would say that if you want peace of mind, start to act that way. Be a beacon of peace and love that brings more harmony into all of your relationships. In addition, be more of a giver.

If you want inner and outer disharmony, this thought process leads to discord, conflict, blame, judgement and criticism.

Choosing to take responsibility for your life and not blaming others is a constructive way of thinking. It brings peace and empowerment rather than a conflictual perspective.

If you are faced now with a challenge, what would you do if you were to take 5% responsibility for it? This question would widen your perspective.
