I've been seeing all types of questions lately about finding choir repertoire; directors looking for specific pieces, or repertoire for specific ensembles, or just questions where to look for repertoire.
So in today’s episode, I’m discussing nine resources that you might not have heard of to find great choir repertoire. If you are looking for fresh, engaging repertoire that your singers and your audiences will enjoy, then this episode is for you.
Many of these sites are what I call “composer-friendly”; where they started as websites that were created to help composers get their music “out there”. These websites often offer example performance recordings and e-print options; depending on the website/composer/piece, you can even find some that offer a set fee for a license to print as many copies as you need. And with the increase in virtual choir projects, many of these sites have specific information in regards to licensing.
Happy repertoire hunting!
