Robert D Young is GWR's lead consultant for gerontology - the study of various aspects of aging. He has maintained lists of the world's oldest people for Gerontology Researched Group (GRG) since 1999, and has worked with the Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research and the International Database on Longevity. Robert became Director of the Supercentenarian Research Database Division for the GRG in 2015. He is also the author of African-American Longevity Advantage: Myth or Reality? (2009).
