Today's podcast will be our final episode studying 1 Corinthians 14.
It also serves as a good summary episode of this chapter to share with others.
In it, we'll explain what parallelism is and how it's used in the Bible. Though it's a literary device commonly found in Hebrew poetry, it can be seen in other genres, such as this letter Paul wrote to the Corinthians.
Special Note: Watch out for future changes to this podcast! I may change my podcasting platform, which would necessitate a new rss feed, and create my own website. I'm still thinking about it and researching, but just giving you a head's up.
Celebrating Thanksgiving
In our introduction, we'll discuss the (almost) forgotten holiday of Thanksgiving. As soon as Halloween ends, radio stations croon out Christmas songs and stores stock shelves. Thanksgiving gets minimized instead of promoted.
Gratitude can actually rewire our brains and help us to be more resilient in the face of stress and trauma. In short, cultivating a thankful heart is a great way to protect your heart and prepare for the times to come. It can also honor God in the midst of an increasingly entitled society.

RESOURCES
1. Why Not Women? written by Loren Cunningham and David Hamilton
I highly recommend this book!
2. David Hamilton's article on 1 Corinthians 14. I highly recommend it, because it seems like it's been extracted from the book as is.

REFLECTION QUESTIONS
1. How can gratitude and thankfulness help you in your daily life? Prepare for the End Times? We know from the Bible the enemy wants to weigh us down, wear us out, and stress us out. How can thankfulness protect us from these enemy strategies?
2. Did today's podcast help you to see how the puzzle pieces of interpretation fit together? Would most people be able to discern the intricacies of the message in this chapter without having gone through a deeper study? In your own words, what is the value of this deeper study?

ACTION STEPS
1. Slowly review and meditate upon what was shared in this podcast.
2. Subscribe and share this podcast with others who may be interested.
3. Study David Hamilton's article on 1 Corinthians 14, where he breaks down the passage.
4. What steps will you take to cultivate a thankful heart and lifestyle towards God and others?
5. If you haven't already, watch the above videos.
