I know it hurts, but don't conform to the pain
For most of us, when we are living in emotional pain, if overtakes us. Leading us to places in life we never knew we could go emotionally, mentally, physically, in our health, and even in our finances. For some their spiritual beliefs are questioned because their faith somehow is being tested. Forgetting about the Source they believe in because they are so consumed with hurting that they see nothing else but what they feel inside.
I know life can get that way at times, but the worst thing we can do is allow the unknowing of how we should deal with pain, take us to the point of self-destruction. It's so easy to do because you're thinking you found a solution (the answer to your problems). So then, is to help you forget about the pain, you stay with it, until you can't anymore.
Years ago, that's the route I decided to take because I didn't want to keep remembering the torture from traumatic situations that had happened in my life as a young girl, I didn't want to remember any of that pain, but it was so ongoing for me that when I found my go-to (cocaine use) I stayed with it, until it decided to leave me. Overdosed, and that's just some of my experience with emotional and spiritual pain, but I found hope in ways that saved me from myself. Not to mention an overdose that scared me to life. If it were up to me in the past, I would've ended all of it, before the substance use and addiction, but there were people I believe God sent my way to sprinkle hope on my path when I had none, and just like you, there's someone who can sprinkle a bit of hope on your path as well, even in your pain.
