The party of Shi'ite populist cleric Muqtada al-Sadr has secured the largest number of seats in the October 10 Iraq election. The leader has a massive following and controls a large armed militant group. He is opposed to all foreign interference in Iraq. He fought against the US in 2003, and more interestingly, also opposes Iran's involvement in Iraqi politics. In this episode we dig into what all of this means for Iraq's future and the future of the region.
