On February 24. 2020 Sarah Boone, then 42, zipped her then 42-year-old boyfriend, Jorge Torres, Jr. into a suitcase, leaving him to suffocate at their Winter Park, Florida residence. She was subsequently charged with second-degree murder for killing Torres. Held in Orange County jail without bail, she has written letters to the trial judge stating that she has not been represented fairly; eight different attorneys appointed to represent her have withdrawn. Both Torres and Boone had previous arrests for domestic violence during their tumultuous relationship. Boone is using the battered woman defense in her trial. #sarahboone #suitcasemurder #samsonite
