Does one of the whackiest Govinda comedies of the 90s actually serve as a metaphor for crony capitalists eating up independent businesses in the 2020's? Yes, we go deep into the 'Raja Bhoj' and 'Gangu Teli' analogies while dissecting the hilarious cult classic 'Dulhe Raja'. Joining Abbas and Urjita is Aseem Chandaver, popularly known as @BabaJogeshwari from his social media handles, and though the episode is about Dulhe Raja we couldn't not have a 25 minute initial discussion about B-grade (and C-grade and D-grade) Indian cinema given Aseem's encyclopedic knowledge in the sphere. So get ready for name drops like 'Khooni Dracula', 'Bandh Darwaza', 'Veerana' and 'Haiwan'. Some other topics discussed include Kader Khan's brilliance as a script writer and performer, why Bollywood doesn't do slapstick well anymore, and why Govinda-Raveena pair > Govinda-Karishma.
