Her groundbreaking book, “Little Girls in Pretty Boxes”, was named one of the Top 100 Sports Books of All Time by Sports Illustrated and sparked important changes in the sport of gymnastics. Her latest book, “Intangibles”, explores the science and soul of team chemistry. In addition to her successful career as a journalist and author, Joan Ryan is currently the Senior Media Consultant for the San Francisco Giants.
