ASIAN HATE MAIL PODCAST #1 THE CHINATOWN MASSACRE In this first episode of the podcast, we explore the past that has been hidden. In October of 1871, 2 years after the Chinese completed the Transcontinental Rail Road, Americans began lynching the Chinese immigrants. Due to a fight between two Chinese people, an officer was caught in between their crosshairs and was unlived. This caused the 500 angry Americans to lynch 17 Chinese immigrants. It was 10% of the Chinese population living in the United States at the time.
