How to build a fashion career that aligns with your values ft. sustainability expert Shaunie Brett
Manage episode 422214338 series 3578548
This week, I have the joy of speaking with Shaunie Brett; a sustainable fashion business consultant and Cambridge masters student. Despite her thriving career as a stylist for the likes of LOVE magazine, Burberry, and menswear start-up Thread, Shaunie knew something wasn't right in her life. Realizing this feeling was derived from a form of clothing addiction (let's be real -- we've all been there), Shaunie decided to not buy ANY new clothes for a year, her #nonewclothes challenge being featured publicly in the Evening Standard.
Presently, Shaunie has not only gone one year without shopping, but she has also freed herself of anxiety, and transformed her fashion career into one that aligns with her new lifestyle. On the show today, Shaunie shares her advice on how you can build a fashion career that feels authentic to you, and how shopping less is actually easier than you think.
