The Joi of Social Work Podcast was born as a result of its creator Joi, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker from the Bronx, being hit with tragedy in 2009, 2011 & 2017; with the deaths of her father, mother & boyfriend. Joi's friends encouraged her to tell her story through comedy as she uses humor as a coping mechanism.
